Julian Maraboto (DK/MX)
Julian Maraboto is from Mexico and currently resides in Denmark, where he represents his solo project as well as the multicultural group Los Fuegos, which was nominated for a Danish Music Award in 2014 as Live Act of the Year in the World category.
His style spans various rhythms and themes, from rock to cumbia, through blues to Mexican ranchera. His voice is powerful and expressive, and his lyrics reflect the multicultural experiences shaped by his travels between Mexico and Denmark. Central to his work is the theme of integrating cultures in a world where respect between communities and acceptance of different social, political, and religious ideas are urgently needed.
