Resonator is a festival in the danish town Odense, but we also publish articles and reviews and create podcasts.
We seek to nurture both understanding and curiosity, across cultures and art forms, through our concerts, articles and podcasts. The Resonator festival takes place during five days in November, where you as a music lover can travel the world with us at six different venues in Odense.

We focus on curiosity and cross-cultural music from around the world. Like other cultural institutions, Resonator seeks to bring people together through art, across cultures and differences. But Resonator does it in a way you've hardly ever encountered before!
Not only do we give the audience the opportunity to experience the music. The audience is also invited to participate in the movements of music and in the cultural community behind through learning traditional dances and tasting food from the tradition where the music comes from, all of this and many more immersive elements are to be found at Resonator.
We dont just host concerts, we create a universe with opportunity for cultural enrichment and open up new worlds for you and those who participate.
In addition, we also provide insight into the stories behind the music with our articles and podcasts. Before, during and after the festival.

Resonator consists of a community of cultural institutions, including Kulturmaskinen, Posten, Second to the Left, Studenterhus Odense, Musikbiblioteket, Momentum and Tempi.
We all have a huge love for culture and music. In collaboration with content creators, we create a universe for the stories behind and roots of the music.
We also collaborate with other venues and shops around Odense, giving you the opportunity to experience as much as possible.
Keep an eye out for our partners to find out more about what you can experience during the festival.
Resonator is supported by the Odense Kommune, Alice, Tuborgfondet, og Statenskunstfond.

Roots music covers a wide range of music that partly reaches back to the roots of its practise, and partly shows the way forward through innovation. Often folklore from different places of the world, with a modern twist.
