There is old – but good! – news from the western front when Det Yderste Hav, in sextet form, plays an authentic Fanøbal with their interpretation of the 300-year-old 'sønderhoning' tradition from the southern tip of the island. The music you will hear has literally been handed down through generations of a few hundred people from Sønderho.

Det Yderste Hav usually performs as a trio with Peter Uhrbrand, Jørgen Bjørslev, and Jeppe Brixvold, delivering a contemporary breakthrough firmly rooted in Fanø's unique cultural heritage, where past and present merge. This evening, they will be joined by Sonnich Lydom, Kirstine Uhrbrand, and Claus Carlsen.

But! You won't just be listening. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a professional dance workshop before the concert and try out your newly acquired folk dance skills to the sound of Det Yderste Hav, accompanied by visuals from VJ Chroma and plenty of coffee punch to loosen up your joints, so the dancing can go on long into the night.

Det Yderste Hav will play at the DMA Roots show afterparty on Saturday, November 9th.
