While vinyl as a physical medium has got a comeback in recent years, cassette tapes have also started to gain popularity once again. Lenhart Tapes doesn't just view cassette tapes as a medium to be enjoyed, but also as an opportunity to create a unique musical project.
Their music collection is vast and lovingly curated, and Lenhart Tapes uses their versatile cassette tapes in harmonious combination with homemade samples and soundscapes to create a concert experience unlike anything you can find elsewhere. It is both sophisticated and wild; a passionate genre-blending performance that has been ongoing since 2010.
They frequently perform solo concerts but especially excel when it comes to leveraging their analog expertise as support and in collaboration with other artists. In this case, Lenhart is joined on stage by the Serbian singer Zoja Borovčanin, and you can expect an exhilarating sound experience as these two artists showcase their long-standing collaboration through wild soundscapes and obscure sonic insights.
